They designated $500 for El Dorado County Sheriff
Canine Troy, $1500 for 2 lucky Richmond PD canines

the $500 left over toward K-9 Armor vest for the

raised $180.00 at the Western States Horse Expo
in Sacramento, CA June 11-13, 2010 and added El
Dorado County Sheriff K-9 Troy pictured left, with
K-9 Armor Co-Founder Suzanne Saunders.
Many thanks to Jim and all the fine staff at
Canidae Pet Foods for sponsoring the Horse Expo
and Dog Expo 2010. Without their generosity,
many worthy canine causes would be out in the
cold without a bone, thanks to Rocket's Comet
Dogs we were treated to special mention and demonstrations
and the El Dorado County Sheriff K9 dogs showed
off running
and biting!
Visit our Sponsors
page

see all
the generous donations that helped to make the
event
successful and fun! Special thanks to Canine Troy's
family, and everyone who came down to shake paws
and all the beautiful prizes
to raise money to save the police dogs.

Special thanks to Sgt Mark Hunter
for inviting us to the Petaluma PD K9 Trials
August 7, 2010
we have been attending every year since 2005.
His sponsorship allowed us to find and
provide a free
K-9 Armor vest to 25 police dogs
throughout California during that time.
Thanks
to Wells Fargo Oakmont Branch Manager Ruth
Ramirez, who donated $750 for Sonoma County Sheriff
K9
Axl pictured left and to Chris and Karen
Tallerico, who donated $750 for Richmond
PD K9 Rasp, pictured right. Both of these dogs
will receive a bulletproof

the picture of Bosco from Richmond PD below for
a slideshow of the dogs in action at the
Petaluma PD K9 Trials Aug 15, 2009 where we raised
$215 and gave a K-9 Armor vest to Sabre of Richmond
PD. At their K9 Trials August 7, 2010 we received
a generous donation of $750 from Chris and Karen
Tallerico of Hercules, for a whole vest to
Richmond
PD in memory of fallen K9 Officer Brad Moody,
we are proud and honored to apply their donation
of
a
bulletproof vest for Richmond PD K9 Rasp. Rasp
and his handler Officer Mandell, were recently
engaged in battle with a suspect shooting at Rasp
and the suspect broke off the dog's tail as Rasp
held on and took down the bad guy who was arrested
for assaulting and amputating an officer! At the
Petaluma Trials we saw Rasp perform with great
determination even without his tail. What an incredible
story,
stay tuned for a picture with
Rasp giving thanks for
his new vest! |

us to Pet Pride Day 2009 where we raised $115 and
met Animal COPS SFPD Sgt Herndon!
|

Sunday, October 26, 2008 We raised $75 and received
a beautiful award! Thanks to SFPD Chief of Police
Heather Fong for stopping by to shake paws and congratulate
us for our dedication to providing protective gear
for police dogs. Thanks to Chief Fong, SFPD purchased
20 bulletproof vests for their K-9 Unit, if only
every police department would follow their example!
For now, most agencies do not budget for bulletproof
vests for their K-9's so it is up to us to raise
the money and save these brave, beautiful dogs. Help
us protect them by donating on our Paypal button
or send us a check to our address at the top of this
page. Thanks for your donations! |
